PVC Carpeting

PVC Carpeting

The most economical way to cut the expense of pvc carpeting is to get it pre-cut or "ribbonized."

This cuts down on the number of trips you have to make to the store to buy the sections. Often, when you have put carpet, it's cut into smaller pieces, which means that you'll have to buy more sections than usual to match the colors and styles in your home. However, when you have put carpet already pre-roughed, you only have to buy one matching piece (often a border) instead of an entire matching set. This saves you money and, depending on the design of your home, this is a much more efficient use of your time.

Carpeting

There are other ways to save money on your new carpet, as well. If you do decide to buy vinyl flooring or hardwood vinyl flooring, you can often take it home and install it yourself. Many flooring companies sell ready-made pieces which are sold with the interlocking edges already installed so you don't have to waste time or money trying to do this on your own. In addition, if you do choose to have a professional install the flooring, you might be able to get a deal where you only have to pay the labor costs, not the cost of the actual flooring. Finally, if you want a more natural look and feel and really like the look and texture of pvc carpet rolls, you can buy unfinished sections.

PVC Carpeting

Unfinished sections of wood vinyl flooring are available in a wide variety of natural colors including brown, pine, ash, cherry, and more. These are much less expensive than the "ready to install" pieces and there are also chances that the unfinished pieces will fit together well enough to make a sturdy addition to your floor. Unfinished pieces are definitely a good choice when you're looking for a little more texture or personality in your carpeting.
